Most HVAC work disappears behind a closet door or into an attic, so you never see what actually changed. That’s why we document our jobs. The photos below show what a failing system in Houston looks like up close, and what it looks like after our techs finish. No stock images, no marketing gloss. Just the work, the way it happened. Every project shown here followed the same rule: written price before any work started, written guarantee on every repair.

AC Repair: Blown Dual-Run Capacitor in a Kingwood Condo
Before
AfterThe condenser outside this Kingwood unit would hum for ten seconds and shut off. That’s the classic sign of a failed dual-run capacitor, the part that gives the compressor and fan motor their starting jolt. Our tech confirmed it with a meter, showed the homeowner the swollen top, and had the new capacitor on the truck. The unit started on the first try. Total time on site: under an hour, with the repair guaranteed in writing for a full year. If it fails in that time, we return at no charge.
Furnace Repair: Cracked Heat Exchanger in a Meyerland Home
Before
AfterDuring a routine winter inspection in Meyerland, we found a hairline crack in the heat exchanger of a 14-year-old Carrier furnace. That crack meant combustion gases could leak into the airstream. We shut the system down on the spot, explained the options in plain terms, and gave the homeowner a written price to either replace the exchanger or the whole furnace. They chose the exchanger. The after photos show the new cell seated correctly, the burners cleaned, and combustion readings within spec. The repair is guaranteed in writing for a full year, and the price they signed is the price they paid.
Heat Pump Installation: Full System Replacement in Katy
Before
AfterThe old Goodman heat pump in this Katy house was limping on its original compressor after 16 years of Houston humidity and hard summer runs. The homeowner wanted efficiency and a quieter outdoor unit. We pulled the old system, reset the pad, and installed a new 16-SEER heat pump matched to the existing ductwork. The after photos show the new condenser with clean line sets and a proper disconnect. This was a load-calculated install, not a swap-and-go, so the homeowner got a set install date, a written fixed price, and all rebate paperwork handled before we ever showed up.
AC Repair: Refrigerant Recharge and Coil Cleaning in The Heights

This Heights bungalow’s AC ran all day and never got below 78 degrees. The evaporator coil was matted with years of dust and pet hair, and the system was two pounds low on R-410A. Our tech pulled the coil, washed it with a non-acidic cleaner, and recharged the system to the manufacturer’s spec. The after photos show a visibly clean coil and a temperature split of 19 degrees, which is right where it should be. Most repairs of this type run $150 to $450 depending on the part and the refrigerant involved, and this one came with the same written guarantee as every job we do.
Furnace Repair: Gas Valve Replacement in Spring Branch

The furnace in this Spring Branch home would light the pilot but the burners never fired. That pointed to a failed gas valve, the component that meters fuel into the burner assembly. Gas work is not a guessing game, so we verified the valve was getting signal, confirmed it was stuck closed, and replaced it with an OEM part for the specific Trane model. After testing, the burners lit clean and the manifold pressure matched the manufacturer’s spec on the label inside the cabinet. The repair is in writing, guaranteed for a full year, and if it fails in that time, we come back and make it right at no charge.
